Query by poprocksandcoke: What can I provide with a rotini pasta dish?
I am considering about creating both Sesame-soy edamame & pasta salad, or a Greek Pasta salad. If anybody has tried either of these, have been they excellent and which a single would you advise?
And what would be very good to provide with these as a side dish or just one thing extra to provide? Maybe steamed asparagus or anything?

Thanks for any advice

Go with the sesame-soy edamame

Steamed asparagus, but with a slight twist — shock the asparagus right after cooking, and provide chilled. Sprinkle salt, pepper, white balsamic vinegar & added virgin olive oil to style.

What do you feel? Response beneath!

Finally ! THIS Japanese WAFU Vinaigrette. I bought this brand at the street festival in Washington DC during Cherry Blossom time a few years ago. Its was SO GOOD! Just a dab on your finger and your sold. I bought 4 bottles and gave them as gifts, then I couldn't find it back home in Florida! My family loves this toasty sesame vinaigrette, good on mandarin orange salad, reheating store bought Chinese food or making home made Chinese food. I cant wait till my order gets here! I use the "light" but cant wait to try the rest. Just shake well and refrigerate after opening. This is a definite foody MUST HAVE find :)

Definitely the Sesame-soy edamame & pasta salad. Sound wonderful! I’ve had that a few weeks ago and the sesame goes very well with pasta. I don’t think you need anything else… maybe just a nice bread. Good luck!

Pasta salad turns into a full meal with the addition of some kind of protein. Not sure if you’re vegetarian, but if not, consider adding one of the following:

1. Tuna
2. Cubed hard salami
3. Feta, goat, or mozarella cheese
4. Cubed ham or turkey
5. Grilled chicken

If you’re not into adding a protein to your salad, but don’t mind serving one along side, here are some ideas:

1. Grilled teriyaki chicken
2. Grilled flank steak
3. Grilled lemon pepper prawns
4. Seared ahi tuna with sesame seed crust and a spicy dipping sauce

Vegetarian? Consider the following:

1. Bruschetta with artichoke tapenade and roasted red peppers
2. Grilled Potato Rosemary Bread with brie
3. Fresh asparagas bundles with lemon zest and shaved parmesan
4. Fresh green beans with onions and parmesan/bread crumbs
5. Roasted beet salad with goat cheese
6. Ripe pears filled with blue cheese and drizzled with honey, grilled or poached
7. Deviled eggs with curry
8. White bean ragu with crostini dipping fingers
9. Lemon grass infused miso soup with tofu and green onion
